    • 1 Timothy 3:1-7: Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God\’s church?) He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil\’s trap.
    • 1 Corinthians 4:1-2: So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.
  • Exhibits understanding of the Nazarene Church Manual, with particular commitment to the Articles of Faith (pages 26-34), the Covenant of Christian Conduct (pages 44-62), the Pastor (pages 85-89), and Current Moral and Social Issues (pages 400-413).
  • Is a member of good standing in the Church of the Nazarene. If not already a member, the candidate must be willing to become a member.
  • Must embrace the vision of the Lead Pastor and mission of our church to Worship God, Walk in Christlikeness, Work in the Ministry and Win Our Community
  • Has the ability to delegate, organize teams, communicate across multiple groups (parents, students, volunteer workers, and church staff), and effectively manage various dynamics associated with those groups.
