We are seeking an energetic and outgoing Associate Pastor to join our ministry team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving the local church, strong administrative skills, and a gift for connecting with people of all ages and stages of life. This role focuses on overseeing discipleship initiatives, welcoming and integrating new members, and leading ministries for young families, children, youth, and young adults. Additionally, the Associate Pastor will spearhead evangelism and outreach efforts to extend the gospel into our community.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Discipleship and New Members:
    • Develop and implement discipleship programs to help members grow in their faith.
    • Oversee new member classes and assist with the integration of new members into the church body.
  • Young Families, Children’s Ministry, and Youth:
    • Provide leadership, oversight, and support for the children’s ministry and youth programs.
    • Equip and mentor volunteers and staff serving in these ministries.
    • Engage with young families, creating opportunities for connection, growth, and service.
  • Young Adults Ministry:
    • Develop initiatives to disciple and connect young adults to the broader church community.
    • Facilitate small groups, Bible studies, and social gatherings.
  • Evangelism and Outreach:
    • Plan and lead evangelism efforts and community outreach events.
    • Equip and inspire church members to share the gospel in their spheres of influence.
  • Administration:
    • Collaborate with the senior pastor and church leadership in planning and coordinating ministry activities.
    • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth operation of assigned ministries.

Qualifications:

  • A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a call to pastoral ministry.
  • Agreement with the church’s statement of faith.
  • In full agreement with the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy, the Nashville Statement, and the Ligonier Statement on Christology.
  • A bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, or a related field (Master of Divinity preferred).
  • Proven experience in church ministry leadership roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to connect with diverse groups.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple ministries simultaneously.
  • A heart for discipleship, outreach, and serving the church body.
