Our Church

We highly value both building Christ-centered relationships with one another and with unbelievers. We are a church plant of Cornerstone Church in Ames that hosts the Salt Network, a ministry that has planted churches in over 30 cities with local college ministries, and we share in this vision of reaching the next generation. Led by a team of Elders, our church structure is based on a plurality of leadership that is shown throughout our church, including the preaching on Sunday morning. We are doctrinally conservative, family oriented, contemporary, and committed to showing and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our community and the whole world. Our church has a history of steady growth, and is seeking a second pastor to care for our church family and reach new people.   

Our Community

Boone is a mid-size town in Iowa that is a great place to raise a family. If you love the outdoors, Ledges State Park is just minutes away. If you love the city, Ames and Des Moines are close as well. 

The Role

If you are a driven leader who enjoys variety, is passionate about youth ministry, gifted at teaching God’s Word, enjoys building relationships with believers and unbelievers, and desires to be part of a growing family church, check us out!  We don’t have any grand visions of you being a lone ranger that does everything, we truly work together as a team.

We are looking for an Associate Pastor who:

• Is energized by variety.
• Is relational in ministry style.
• Is passionate about youth ministry.
• Possesses ministry experience and / or higher education in ministry.
• Has an ability to organize ministry and lead people – to include recruiting, training, equipping, and scheduling volunteers.  
• Teaches 1/3 of our Sunday services.
• Serves alongside the Lead Pastor and Elders in providing pastoral care.
• Collaborates with the Elder Team and staff in the practical application of ministry.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
