Church Musician Job Description – Part Time

Qualifications

• Ability to lead musical worship.
• Willingness to learn and play contemporary worship music as well as traditional hymns.
• A flexible spirit who is willing to grow and change as our congregation does.
• Willingness to support the TCCS Statement of Faith and Ministry Distinctives.
• A faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to follow Him.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Pastor to select songs and plan musical elements included in Sunday morning worship.
• Lead the congregation in song during Sunday morning services using either piano or guitar.
• Arrange rehearsals with other musicians as needed.
• Arrange for replacement musician if you are not able to lead.

Hours and Salary

The Music Director is an 8-10 hour a week position that reports to the Pastor and the Elders. The Music Director will start at $7500 annually with cost-of-living increases and receive 2 weeks paid vacation.
