Job Description

The church planting residency is split between a Year 1 focus and a Year 2 focus. Below is a high-level overview of weekly responsibilities while in residency:

Year 1:
Personal Development: 4 hours
New Church Plant Development: 8-10 hours
Staff / Ministry Responsibilities: 20-25 hours
Administrative / Organizational Tasks:  4 hours

Year 2:
Personal Development: 4 hours
New Church Plant Development: 20-25 hours
Staff / Ministry Responsibilities: 8-10 hours
Administrative / Organizational Tasks: 4 hours
**Meet with assigned church planting coach

During the residency, residents will lead vital ministries, preach regularly and may pioneer new initiatives at the site church—many of which could later be passed on to lay leaders. A successful residency will include the resident:

(a)developing a church plant ministry plan
(b)recruiting a core team
(c)developing an evangelistic outreach plan
(d)developing a financial plan
(e)constructing a leadership development plan
