Meet Church Project:

Church Project Van Alstyne was planted in January 2023 by 20 families on a mission to rethink church and return to the essence of leading, gathering and living the way Christ and the early church intended.

We pursue the biblical, simple, powerful early church model of church. The early church gathered weekly by the thousands in a simple way to study the Scriptures, pray, and give, so we do similar Sunday Gatherings. The early church gathered by the dozens in House Churches to live in a diverse discipleship community, so we gather similarly in House Churches. The early church gave their lives and money to do ministry, so we serve and give through Ministry Partnerships.

The Lead Pastor’s Responsibilities Include:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Pastor to join our growing church community. Initially, the primary responsibilities will include preaching exegetically through books of the Bible on Sundays, leading and mentoring House Church Pastors, and fostering strong relationships within the community. As the church expands, the role will grow to include hiring and leading staff, as well as guiding a team of elders in maintaining the church’s vision and direction. This is an exciting opportunity to serve a vibrant, growing church and make a lasting impact for the Gospel.

The Lead Pastor’s Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as the primary preacher and teacher, focusing on exegetical, verse-by-verse preaching through books of the Bible.
  • Advocate for and lead the House Church model, guiding its development and expansion.
  • Actively engage in the leadership and mentorship of House Church Pastors as the church grows.
  • Collaborate with a plurality of Elders, facilitating discussions and decisions in a relational and cooperative environment.
  • Oversee all church staff, responsible for hiring, coaching, and promoting their spiritual growth.
  • Lead staff in worship, prayer, and personal devotion to encourage spiritual development.
  • Teach and ensure doctrinal integrity and maintain a Gospel-centered focus in all aspects of church life and community-building.unnamed (2)-Oct-11-2024-02-53-50-5478-PM

  • 5+ years pastoral or ministry experience.
