Established over 125 years ago, recently disaffiliated from the United Methodist. Seeking Pastoral support for our congregation and community members that participate in our activities. We feel this position is part-time and will average 40 hours a month.
We would like an Ordained Minister with a minimum of 3-5 years Pastoral Ministry experience.
Personal interaction with congregation and participants in our worship services, activities and ministries for the purpose of spreading the Gospel and showing Christ to others. Personal interaction requires the ability to show impartiality, patience and compassion for struggles and concerns of others while relating and ministering to a wide diversity of congregants.
Responsibilities will require flexibility in hours, including some evenings, holidays and weekends.
- Preach one (1) Sunday per month.
- Visit and comfort our sick/shut ins and bereaved.
- *It is our expectation that shut-ins should be visited at least one time a month and offered Communion at this visit.
- Members in the hospital should also receive a visit.
- Shut-ins and members in the hospital should receive at least one phone call per month in addition to the visit.
- Contact visitors and new members as received.
- Be present at our Community Building Activities.
- Hot Dog Lunch (2 times a month).
- Sandwich Build for the homeless (1 time a month).
- Annual BBQ
- Annual Egg Hunt
- Annual Christmas Pageant.
- Other activities that will allow personal involvement to encourage church attendance.
- Lead a minimum of one (1) Confirmation Class per year
- Officiate Special Services – Only if there is a conflict with the Lead Pastor’s schedule.
