Description: Serve as the director and coordinator of all Bethel’s Christian Education programs for ages 0-5th grade. Provide resources and training for families, teachers, leaders, and advisors.
Salary and Benefits: Competitive salary with benefits.
Final salary and benefits to be determined based on person’s gifts, experience and qualifications.
Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Evenings
- Lead or Coordinate children’s messages for worship services.
- Prepare supplies for and coordinate staff and volunteers for the nursery, junior worship (K-3rd grade) and Sunday School for all ages, 0-5th grade.
- Back up the volunteer Sunday School teachers and the Childcare workers when needed (with advance notice).
- Lead and/or coordinate Wednesday evening programming.
Bethel Weekday School
- Gather and prep supplies for, and lead chapel weekly for the Bethel Weekday School.
- Meet weekly with the Director of Bethel Weekday School to cultivate a Christ-centered culture in the classrooms, among the teachers, and in all interactions between the church and the preschool families.
- Be present with Weekday School special events and create opportunities to connect the church more deeply with the families and teachers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to minister to and work with people of all ages in the area of Christian Education.
- Possess excellent skills in administration, organization, and communication.
- Be self-motivated, self-directed, and a person of observable Christian character.
Credentials and Experience: Bachelor’s degree with focus on early childhood, or Christian Education or equivalent experience. Two to four years’ experience working in the area of Children’s and Family Ministry.
Special Requirements: Must exhibit a life surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and recognize that Children’s and Family ministry is about bringing people of all ages to a relationship with Him.
Must be in agreement with and shall affirm the Essential Tenets of the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO).
