Are you passionate about leading the next generation into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ? Do you feel called to disciple students in the way of Jesus Christ within a vibrant Anglican community? St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in beautiful Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking a full-time Director of Student Ministries to lead and grow our middle and high school ministry.

We are looking for a Christ-centered, mission-minded leader who loves God’s Word, values deep relationships, and thrives in the rhythms of church life and youth culture. This role is ideal for someone with a heart for discipleship, community-building, and creative ministry, grounded in the historic faith and liturgical richness of the Anglican tradition.

At St. Mark’s, we believe that student ministry is not just a program—it’s a calling to walk alongside students and families as they discover who they are in Christ and what it means to live as faithful disciples in today’s world. You’ll be part of a dynamic pastoral team committed to raising up the next generation of servant-leaders rooted in Scripture and nurtured by the Holy Spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate a joyful, welcoming, and spiritually rich environment for students in grades 6–12
  • Lead weekly youth group gatherings, teach Sunday School, and disciple students through small groups and mentoring
  • Be present in students\’ lives—attending games, performances, and sharing meals
  • Build strong relationships with parents and integrate them into the life of the ministry
  • Recruit, train, and equip adult and student servant-leaders for ministry partnership
  • Organize mission trips, retreats, service projects, and special events
  • Collaborate with church staff on overall discipleship vision and strategy
  • Steward ministry logistics with excellence and care

Who You Are:

  • A follower of Jesus with a deep love for Scripture and the Church
  • Aligned with orthodox, biblical theology and the Anglican/Episcopal tradition
  • Passionate about student discipleship and relational ministry
  • A gifted communicator and encourager
  • Energetic, fun, and able to relate authentically to students and families
  • Teachable, organized, and collaborative
  • Experienced in youth ministry (preferred)
  • Theological or biblical training through seminary, Bible college, or a para-church ministry is a strong plus

 

Compensation:

  • Full-time position with benefits
  • Salary commensurate with experience and educational training
