Grace Commons Church in Boulder, CO is seeking an experienced individual passionate about Jesus to serve as our Director of Student Ministry  overseeing High School (6th–8th ministry). Working alongside our Senior Pastor, volunteers, staff, parents, and interns, this leader will nurture a deep love for Jesus Christ by fostering intentional relationships, creative discipleship, and genuine community among students and families. We are looking for a prayerfully patient, fun, and relationship-oriented servant with the maturity and flexibility to collaborate, mobilize, and equip both volunteers and youth. A good sense of humor, humility, and a heart for teens are essential as we strive to reach students who need Jesus by providing Spirit-led care and incarnational ministry. 

Responsibilities: “…make disciples…” Matt 28:19

• Teach and be a strong ‘up-front’ presence in youth ministry settings including strong speaking gifts.
• Develop and strengthen programs as needed to promote relational ministry to students.
• Develop middle school volunteers and student interns into leaders.
• Develop and maintain ministry budgets including retreats, programming, mission trips, etc.
• Market the ministry through various channels: social media, apparel, graphics, website, etc.
• Mentor volunteer leaders in areas of spiritual health and their own personal development.
• Hold volunteer leaders accountable to monthly outreach and leadership goals.
• Lead camps and mission trips to promote relational ministry to students.
• Recruit and lead a committee of parents and volunteers for practical ministry help and guidance.
• Participate as a member of the Program Staff at Grace Commons Church.
• Participate in Sunday worship services.
• Promote the congregation’s engagement with youth ministry.
• Work with Family Ministry staff. to keep organized records for volunteers, parents and students.
