Ellensburg Presbyterian Church desires a Head Pastor who loves the Lord and loves people; is rooted in scripture; is an enthusiastic leader and whose theological views are consistent with the Essential Tenets of ECO.

Responsibilities

Pastor:

• Preach engaging Biblically grounded sermons that inform, inspire, and challenge as led by the Holy Spirit.
• Head of Staff: administrate, oversee and support full and part-time paid staff.
• Moderate session and congregational meetings.
• Promote, lead, and teach new member classes.
• Administer sacraments and officiate weddings and funerals.

Shepherd:

• Know members of our congregation and encourage them in their walk with Christ.
• Disciple elders, deacons and lay leaders through leadership, teaching and prayer.
• Work closely with worship teams to provide inspiring worship services.
• Provide vision and guidance for Christian education programs, including children, youth and adult.
• Be present and available in times of need, such as counseling members and visiting those who are grieving or sick and shut-in.
• Schedule time to nurture your intellectual and spiritual growth and maintain emotional balance.

Reach Out:

• Look out into our community and the world to see where Ellensburg Presbyterian Church may be able to bring the love of Christ.
• Participate in Kittitas Valley Ministerial Association and NW ECO Presbytery.
• Work with leadership to determine a vision for the future of our church.

Skills and Experience

• Master of Divinity or equivalent from an accredited seminary.
• Ordained and committed to the ECO Essential Tenets and Confessional Standards.
• Four years or more as Head Pastor (preferred) or Associate Pastor.
• Experience in supervising, supporting and managing staff.

Compensation

Minimum $75,000 plus benefit package, negotiable based on experience.
