Reporting Relationship: Direct report of Discipleship & Administration Pastor

Job Summary: During the summer many families (and volunteers) vacation and attendance is lower.  The ministry to children and youth of IHBC is important; while attendance is less, it is still important to offer opportunities for learning and fellowship. This part time position is responsible for planning and overseeing the following:

• Sunday School for Children:  obtain volunteers and fill in staffing needs.
• Fill staffing for nursery for July through mid-August during worship services (not June).
• Plan and lead 3 “fun” summer activities for children (may be on campus or off).
• Youth:  Oversee Sunday School and Wednesday night activities (bible study, fellowship).
• Plan one “fun” event in July and August for youth (may be on campus or off).
• Follow all policies for children and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Be a born-again Christian.
• Reliable, trustworthy, self-starter, organized and creative.
• Spiritual passion for children and youth.
• Successfully complete background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursuit of, or completion of, an education or Christian education degree.
