CCLW is a congregation in Lake Wylie, a suburb of Charlotte. We exist to reach every generation with the love and hope of Jesus Christ. To that end, we are seeking to hire a full-time Minister of Connections who will help shepherd our growing church by cultivating community, volunteerism, and discipleship.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative cohesion and spiritual guidance for our various adult ministries.
- Guide newcomers toward a deeper involvement in the life of our church.
- Reimagine and staff our Sunday AM Welcome Center
- Oversee and replenish volunteer teams, including encouraging congregants to serve on committees.
- Support our small groups ministry by developing leaders and launching new groups.
- Partner with Deacons, Stephen Ministers, and our Care Pastor to ensure that our people are taken care of.
- Encourage participation in local missions projects.
- Offer occasional spiritual enrichment opportunities (e.g. conferences, retreats, community events).
- Contribute content to our social media platforms.
- Teach occasionally in the main service.
- Share pastoral responsibilities for weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other elements of our worship services (e.g. communion, announcements etc.).

- Evidence of a growing relationship with God.

- Agreement with our church’s mission and beliefs.

Professional Qualifications
- At least 5 years of full-time ministry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Seminary education preferred, but not required.
- A gospel-shaped grasp of Scripture.
- Proven ability to design something and see it through to effective implementation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Gifted administratively, with a capacity for follow through.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to multitask.
Compensation
- $60,000 (starting salary)
- Paid Time off (PTO):
- 3 weeks (15 days), with the ability to earn 2 more days off after five years.
- Additional staff-wide PTO around Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year’s, and on some Federal holidays.
- A one-month paid sabbatical every five years.
