Redeemer Downtown is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to provide infrastructure support to various ministries. This job is highly administrative and support-focused in nature. Must have excellent organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Must be able to take initiative and juggle competing demands.

Job Description

Event Support

  • Assist the Director of Ministry and Hospitality and Operations and Special Events Manager with coordination and execution support for ministry events (classes, seminars, conferences, retreats, socials, trainings, etc.)
  • Events set up and preparation include but are not limited to ordering food, designing room layouts, supporting event set up, and printing handouts, name tags, and other collateral materials
  • Assist RDT team during busy church seasons (e.g. special ministry year events, Christmas and Easter)
  • Provide logistical and administrative support to Pastors, Directors, and Volunteer Leaders as required, specifically the Assistant Pastor for Discipleship and Content with various events such as Singles Works, Exploring Marriage Seminars, Discipleship Wheel Cohorts Administration and Volunteer Management Support
  • Manage volunteer schedules in online database (TouchPoint) and act as primary point of contact for scheduling issues and conflicts
  • Serve as a communications liaison between RDT ministries (and special events) and Sunday Volunteers
  • Ensure Sunday service teams are equipped with full volunteer rosters for ushers, communion, welcome, hospitality through scheduling, communication, and recruiting.
  • Create and manage special event registrations
Qualifications
  • Need to embrace Redeemer Downtown’s vision and have a gospel-oriented heart for New York City.
  • Minimum four-year college degree required.
  • Must be a highly proficient administrator who is detail-oriented and takes initiative.
  • Must also be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on details to completion in a timely manner.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekend days is required.
  • Required to be in the office on Mondays.
Skills and Experiences
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc).
  • Experience in writing, publishing, and/or ministry is a plus.
