Music is a God-given gift that enhances our worship of the Lord and appreciation for the good things He has given us.  We are searching for a new music accompanist will help enhance our music program and worship experience.

We are looking for someone with a heart for serving the Lord and His people, gifted in music (both instrumentally and vocally) and can lead other vocalists and/or musicians.  The ideal music accompanist will work with the Elders in providing a mix of contemporary, modern music and traditional hymns and songs. The music accompanist will work with the overseeing Elder to plan music and lead a small team of singers.  We desire a music accompanist who will align with our vision to make disciples through practicing hospitality and reaching out in relevant ways to our community.

Position Responsibilities

The Music Accompanist will:

• Report to the Elders and work collaboratively with them in executing the music program
• Participate in scheduled rehearsals and help lead the sessions
• Provide piano or other instrument accompaniment for songs and support the team as a vocalist when necessary
• Participate in planning and performing special music selections (e.g., solos, small groups) for Sunday services, holidays, and special services as necessary and feasible.

Compensation

$20/hr. for 5 to 8 hours per week.  Open to discussions based on experience and time commitment. A future opportunity to expand the role to a director level is possible.
