Music Minister

Prairie View Christian Church
Fishers, IN, USA
Job Type: Music or Worship Director
Other Details

PVCC has been serving God’s Kingdom and the Fishers community for over 30 years. Our church strives to make devoted, maturing, and multiplying followers of Jesus. The church is financially stable, has experienced great leadership continuity in recent years (in terms of both lay leaders and staff), and is blessed with a recently updated building and prime property in a growing suburb of Indianapolis. Our church has roots in the Restoration Movement, but now exists as a non-denominational church.

After 7+ years of fruitful ministry, our previous Worship Minister is leaving to work at a church closer to home. He has generously offered to continue serving in his position until mid-June, and leaves his ministry in good shape for the next person to assume his role. A candidate can expect to find gifted musicians, reliable tech volunteers, and an adequate budget.

This position is currently part-time, and we can be flexible with a candidate’s location. We are happy to accommodate a candidate who spends most of their time working from home during the week and being at church on Sundays

The Music Minister’s primary job responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as an example of Christian maturity to the church.
  • Leading congregational music on Sunday mornings.
  • Prayerfully and wisely selecting songs that are doctrinally sound, practically helpful, and can be performed by volunteer musicians and sung by the congregation.
  • Recruiting, equipping, and encouraging volunteers (both music and tech).
  • Administration (Planning Center, ProPresenter, budgeting, etc.).
  • Working with other staff and leaders (primarily attending biweekly Staff Meetings).
  • Other responsibilities may arise based on the candidate’s gifts and experience or the church’s needs.

How To Apply

To apply, contact Senior Minister Ben Halliburton at [email protected]. Please send a resume, and at least two recent video recordings of you leading music in a corporate worship service. You are also welcome to contact Ben if you have further questions about the position.
