The Big Picture

Grace Bible Church (silverlakechurch.org) is seeking a full-time Pastor to preach the Word of God and shepherd the people of God.

Purpose:

We are searching for a man, called by God, to pastor our church. He will serve the church by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and feeding the church a steady diet of biblical teaching. He will need skills in administrative leadership and a heart for engaging in pastoral care ministries to meet the needs of persons in the church and in the community.

Responsibilities:

• Set as a guideline of personal behavior the standard required in I Timothy 3:1-7 and I Peter 5:1-4.
• Prepare and preach sermons based on the Word of God, every Sunday.
• Teach confirmation class to young church members (two 9-month periods starting at 12 years old).
• Administer the sacrament of Holy communion.
• Perform weddings, funerals, dedication of children, baptisms.
• To be actively involved with youth ministries.
• Attending monthly church board meetings chaired by the head elder.
• Serve as a permanent member of the Missions Committee.
• Producing a weekly program for our First Light Radio Broadcast.
• Supervise and advise other members of the church staff according to staff organization.
• Plan and promote evangelistic ministries for the unsaved and renewal for the Christians.
• Provide administrative leadership for the total church program.
• Visit the sick and minister to members in times of crisis.
• To model and promote faithful financial stewardship and to encourage giving as a spiritual discipline by teaching the biblical principles of giving.
• Other assigned duties.

Salary range: $40K to $50K /Yr.

Vacation: Starting at 2Wks /Yr.

Medical: $500 to 1K monthly

Housing Allowance: $500 to 1,000 monthly
