The ideal candidate will be called by the Holy Spirit to guide our congregation in discipleship resulting in a community of faith that provides an environment for all people to experience the love of Christ.

Responsibilities:

Preach:

• Preach biblically based, inspiring sermons that are applicable to daily life.
• Provide leadership for worship experiences that are relevant across generations, cultures and Christian backgrounds.

Teach:

• How to develop and maintain personal and spiritual life balance.
• Lead people to a relationship with Christ.
• Equip and motivate the congregation to disciple both fellow congregants and new believers.

Counsel:

• Pastoral care of congregants and the wider community based on need.
• Equip the congregation to minister to each other.
• Manage conflict resolution.

Lead:

• Develop and communicate our vision, and support the change required to implement it.
• Cultivate young leadership, empowering them to take risks.
• Identify, develop and support lay leaders.
• Lead the congregation in fostering a relationship with and addressing needs of the community both locally and globally.
• Build, inspire, and guide teams of staff and volunteers.

Desired Characteristics:

• Satisfy the requirements of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference ministerial credentials.
• Be proficient with technology.
• Biblical or theological degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Support a Ministry of Music and Creative Arts.
