Santa Barbara Community Church is seeking a full-time Pastor to Children and Families.

This position provides vital leadership within our church by:

• Directing the Children’s Ministry.
• Overseeing the Children’s Ministry staff team.
• Equipping parents to disciple their children toward faith in Jesus.
• Investing in the faith formation of children.

Qualifications:

• Commitment to Christ as Savior and a life of worship and faithfulness.
• Agreement with SBCC vision, statement of faith, core values, and theological distinctives.
• Passion for articulating biblical truth to children.
• Demonstrated competency in leading and developing a team, both paid and volunteer.
• Willingness to co-labor with other members of the SBCC staff in a spirit of joy, humility, and curiosity for the advancement of SBCC vision and mission; teachable and open to feedback and accountability.
• Strong organizational, planning skills.
• Evident pastoral and people skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• At least 3 years of Children’s Ministry or similar experience.
• BA or BS degree require.

The Pastor to Children and Families would join a vibrant team of people who are passionate about inviting young and old to the truly good life in Jesus and the family of God in one of the least-churched regions in the country.
