Title: Program Director

Reports to: Executive Director(s)

Description: The Program Director contributes to Grindstone Lake Bible Camp’s mission by providing oversight for Grindstone’s programs and program staff.

Days/Hours Required: This is a seasonal position (June–August). The Program Director should expect to work on days when camp is in session. Hours will vary.

Location: Grindstone Lake Bible Camp, 13222 Grindstone Lake Rd., Sandstone, MN

Internship Availability: This position can be done in conjunction with college internship credit.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all elective programs, weekly schedules, and chapel programming.
• Oversee and handle performance reviews for all program staff.
• Answer the phone if the Registrar is not present.
• Disperse any phone messages to the Executive Director if they require the Director’s attention.
• Assist with Camp check-in and check-out.
• Assist with Camp check-in/check-out.
• Oversee canteen and product inventory. Assist Registrar with product ordering.
• Oversee gift shop items, t-shirt inventory, and t-shirt printing.
• Communicate staff and camper needs to office staff (Registrar and Executive Director).
• Lead daily program and cabin leader meetings.
• Schedule camptivities, and handle set up and break down.
• Oversee weekly camp cleaning duties for staff to ensure the cleanliness of camp.
• Assist office staff as needed and requested.
• Tasks and duties as requested by the Executive Director and necessary for the full benefit of the organization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to learn and use complex software systems.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace (GSuite).
• Customer Service Skills.
• Ability to handle information in a discretionary manner as required by the organization and state and federal law.
• Agrees with Grindstone’s mission, statement of faith, and core values.
• Professing Christian faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Desired Requirements

• First Aid/CPR/AED Certified.

Compensation 

• $2,500.00 to be distributed during the following months: June, July, & August.
• Onsite room/housing during the following months (if needed): June, July, and August.
• Onsite meals provided when camp programs are in session.
