Narrative
The Chiltonville Congregational Church is seeking a new long term pastor to lead our church. The church is located in historic Plymouth, Massachusetts and was first established in 1814 with a history tracing back to the Pilgrims. Nestled within the Chiltonville neighborhood with both a parsonage and country store across the street, we hope to find a candidate who will want to remain with our congregation in this quaint New England setting for the foreseeable future.
We seek a pastor who is committed to biblical principles based in conservative theology. We are looking for an individual who can preach the scriptures and provide sound biblical teaching that will inspire the spiritual growth of our congregation and attract new members, particularly young families. Ideally our pastor will be someone who will uphold our core beliefs and also foster a loving and supportive environment.
We seek an individual who will appreciate the historic significance of our community. This will assist in connection with our current members as well as attract new local members and families. We have a rich history leading back to the pilgrims and our pastor will honor this legacy while also remaining vigilant against modern cultural pressures which may attempt to challenge our beliefs. Through development of relationships and local community involvement, our pastor will attract new membership while encouraging a vibrant congregation.
Our ideal candidate will embody the traits of a compassionate leader who will make mentorship and pastoral care a priority. This will promote a welcoming atmosphere, enhancing fellowship among members while also supporting growth and outreach. With the right pastor we hope for our church to grow and thrive as it becomes an image of hope and faith to the community.
