Denomination: Presbyterian – EPC

Weekly Attendance: 400

The Role: Worship Director

About The Organization:

Springhill Church was organized on May 30, 1886, with nine members accepted into the church. The first services were held in member’s homes and at the schoolhouse. In 1887, Reverend Davis Willson became Springhill Church’s first pastor, and he continued to faithfully serve for 22 years. By 1904, the church had 36 active members, and in 1907, the new church building was built.

By the early 1950s, improved roads and better vehicles enabled an easier drive to town for church services. As a result, worship services ceased at Springhill Church, and only Bible classes continued to be held. By 1980, the church had broken windows, a leaky roof, and a faulty heating system. The future of the church was looking questionable, but God had greater plans.

After much prayer, in early 1982, Springhill Church began to meet again with only 3 faithful members. Church services were held twice monthly and by August, eleven new members were received. In 1982, a special offering was taken, and church renovations began. By God’s grace, in 1992, Richard McNeely became Pastor of Springhill Church, and with a renewed commitment to the Gospel, evangelism, and mission, we joined a larger movement of churches known as the Evangelical Presbyterian Church Denomination, which began a revival in growth.

By 2013, Springhill Church had outgrown the capacity of its Legacy Site, and the elders moved to create a second site in Bozeman proper. On December 22, 2013, Springhill began worshipping at its new Bozeman location.

Today, Springhill Church exists to build authentic community in Christ. After a year of church-wide visioning and prayer in 2020, we believe God is calling us to be a church to call home, where relationships flourish, generations connect, and neighbors are loved… for the glory of God. Everything we do is driven by this vision from the Lord.
