Red Oak Church is a growing church in West Springfield, MA. We formed as a merger between an American Baptist Church and a non-denominational church plant in 2021. We are based on a reformed understanding of scripture and hold to the gospel teachings of Jesus.

Qualifying Candidates should have a solid understanding of music arrangement, familiarity with Christian worship and praise music, the ability to engage the congregation in worship, and the skill set to work with and lead a team. Faith in Jesus Christ is essential for the role, and candidates must be comfortable with Baptist expressions of the faith. This position has a potential to become a Worship Pastor position with additional ministry opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Create an atmosphere of worship that engages and inspires the congregation.
• Plan and organize rehearsals for the worship team, ensuring that all members are prepared and equipped to lead worship effectively.
• Collaborate with other church leaders to plan and implement special services or events.
• Provide spiritual leadership and guidance to the worship team, fostering a culture of growth and discipleship.
• Stay current with trends in worship music and incorporate new songs and styles into services as appropriate.
• Serve as a resource for the congregation, providing guidance on worship-related matters and facilitating opportunities for congregational participation.
• Foster a sense of unity and community within the worship team, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
• Ability to educate and communicate effectively with team members and congregation members of all ages.
• Mentoring skills to develop the talents of team members and help them grow in their musical abilities.
• Strong leadership skills to guide the worship team effectively and create a cohesive worship experience.
• A deep personal faith in Jesus Christ and a passion for leading others into meaningful worship experiences.
