Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Worship Leader to join our CrossPoint Church Team. As our Worship Leader you will be responsible for leading and directing the worship experience during our church services. This will involve leading the congregation and creating an atmosphere conducive to spiritual growth and connection with God through music. To be successful in this position, you must possess excellent musical talent (vocally and musically), as well as a possess a strong sense of leadership to manage a team of musicians and technical support. Above all, you must demonstrate a strong devotion to serve and follow Jesus and seek to grow in spiritual maturity.

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead Worship Services: Be able to lead and facilitate worship during our weekly services, lead special events and other gatherings as needed, while leading the congregation in meaningful and authentic worship experiences.
• Musical Selection and Arrangement: Select appropriate songs that align with the direction and doctrine of the church and arrange them in a way that enhances the worship experience.
• Rehearsals and Coordination: Be able to lead and coordinate scheduled rehearsals with worship team members (musicians, vocalists, production/tech, etc.), to ensure excellence in musical performance ensuring seamless transitions between songs and services.
• Spiritual Leadership: Will serve as a spiritual leader for the team and within the church, cultivating an atmosphere or worship, prayer, and spiritual growth among team members as well as members of the church.
• Team Building and Development: Recruit, train, and develop worship team members, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them grow in their musical and spiritual giftings.
• Collaboration: Ensure that the worship experience aligns with the overall vision, values, and goals of the church. Be responsive to direction from the Senior Pastor and be a supportive teammate to all staff members to ensure a good working environment.
• Technical Oversight: Oversee the technical aspects of worship services, including but not limited to sound, lighting, and graphics ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that the worship experience is enhanced through these elements.
• Community Engagement: Foster a sense of community and belonging within the worship ministry, actively engaging with members of the church and encouraging their participation in worship. In general, be an enthusiastic participant and encouragement in the life of the church, rather than a ministry specialist who stays in his area of responsibility.
• Serve: Be an example to the congregation of godly attitude, character, and personal habits, both public and private (1 Timothy 4:12). As pastors, we lead primarily by personal example, not professional position.

Qualifications:

• Able to create music charts for worship musicians.
• Strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to serving the church and living out Christian values in all aspects of life.
• Excellent musical skills (i.e., reading music), as well as proficiency in playing one of more instruments (e.g., guitar, piano, etc.) and possess strong vocal abilities.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and inspire worship team members as well as congregation members effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and connect with congregation members of diverse backgrounds and ages.
• At least two years of experience serving as a worship leader or musician in a church or ministry setting.
• Familiarity with sound systems, lighting equipment, and multimedia presentations (multi tracks, pro presenter), and the ability to oversee technical aspects of worship services.
• Possess a collaborative spirit and a willingness wo work as part of a team to achieve common goals and objectives.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
