Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Mission

Christ Lutheran Church in Santa Clarita—a vibrant, growing congregation just north of Los Angeles—is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Mission. We’re a congregation rich in range and life, with a steady stream of young families joining us, many new to faith—a remarkable vine growing, and a need for someone to help build the trellis.

You’re warm, relational, and instinctively missional, with a gift for turning vision into structured, sustainable ministry. Partnering closely with our Lead Pastor in a CEO/COO-style dynamic, you’ll own two vision pillars: Genuine Community (assimilation, small groups, family ministries) and Generous Living (outreach and mission). You’ll guide newcomers from first visit to full belonging, lead major outreach events, supervise children’s and student ministry staff, preach roughly 25% of Sundays, and help shape our long-term mission.

Requirements: M.Div., 3+ years of ministry experience (ordained or lay), and LCMC or NALC roster eligibility.
