Follow country roads that wind through the rural beauty of Woodstock. Pass farms with a patchwork
quilt of seasonal crops, apple orchards or establishments of local entrepreneurs showcasing
creations of local artisans. You’ll be traversing the same paths our forefathers did. Being over 300
years old, Woodstock has a rich history. Roseland Cottage located in the heart of Woodstock has
hosted 4 presidents! Impressive, but Woodstock was also home to Sesame Street’s Big Bird, Caroll
Spinney, actor Brian Dennehy and currently, author Nathaniel Philbrick. Woodstock is a very
desirable place to live.

The congregation’s life of faith at East Woodstock Congregational Church flourishes in the knowledge that we are all God’s beloved children seeking to walk more closely in the ways of his son, Jesus Christ. We are individuals with different perspectives, backgrounds and views of the world. Searching for a pastor who can minister to all is of paramount importance. We want to prioritize what unites us rather than that which separates us. We are individuals, but ones who collectively yearn to be in fellowship with one another and with our Lord. We understand God is still speaking.

We want a minister who is a gifted preacher, who can clarify and make God’s holy word relevant in our daily lives. We know Christ has no body but ours, so we seek a minister who can inspire and encourage us to be the people God intends us to be, guided by the Holy Spirit and genuine in our efforts to go into the world to do good and share God’s love.

We are offering a compensation package of $95,000 to $125,000 which includes a choice of
residence in our parsonage or a housing allowance. The month of August is off.
