Teaching Elder

We are a loving, friendly group who care for one another and eagerly welcome visitors. We are involved in diverse outreach ministries which include a baby pantry, community garden, backpacks for the homeless, and support to our troops with supplies and encouragement. We have participated in mission work and disaster relief. We have an active prayer ministry for specific member needs, and a text network for urgent requests. Our Music Ministry includes a variety of traditional and contemporary styles.

Goals of the Congregation

• Embrace new pastoral and lay leadership
• Develop a modern, effective way to connect with our visitors and establish authentic congregational care
• Re-establish small group ministry to grow disciples
• Continue outreach through our music ministry

We are looking for…

• A person with healthy people skills who exhibits personal warmth and a sense of humor. We value integrity, honesty, humility, love/compassion, faithfulness, and courage.
• Our pastor should be boldly rooted in Scripture.
• We desire to be led by someone who lives a faithful witness to Christ with passion and compassion and who encourages others in their discipleship.

• Biblical knowledge and teaching-ability to understand, interpret and clearly apply scripture
• Wisdom and discernment for applying Biblical truth to complex life situations; Servant leadership
• Prayerful with a deep, consistent prayer life for congregation and personal guidance
• Authentically demonstrating an honest awareness of personal brokenness
• Compassionate and empathetic to all people in any situation with the ability to minister, counsel and teach them according to Scripture.
