Senior Pastor

Huntington Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Associate Pastor to join us in ministry as our church continues to grow and reach our community for Christ. The position includes housing.

Work week: Approximately 25 hours.

This is an excellent opportunity for a man who feels called to pastoral ministry and desires hands-on experience serving, teaching, discipling, and helping lead a local church.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Assisting the Lead Pastor with the overall ministry and mission of the church
• Preaching and teaching as opportunities arise
• Discipling individuals and helping people grow in their walk with Christ
• Helping develop ministry to young adults, youth, and young families
• Assisting with pastoral care, visitation, and follow-up with guests
• Helping coordinate and lead outreach and community ministry
• Participating in Sunday worship services and other church ministries
• Developing relationships with members, visitors, and people in our community
• Working alongside the Lead Pastor and church leadership to strengthen and grow the church

Qualifications:

• A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a clear calling to pastoral ministry
• Agreement with the biblical beliefs and values of Huntington Baptist Church
• A love for Scripture and a commitment to biblical preaching and teaching
• A heart for evangelism, discipleship, and reaching the next generation
• Relational, teachable, dependable, and willing to serve wherever needed
• Biblical/theological education preferred, or currently pursuing ministry training
• Previous ministry experience is helpful but not necessarily required
