Muslim Ministry
This is a Full-Time LOCAL position.
Role Summary:
The Local Multiplier serving with and among Muslims is a strategic, locally rooted missionary focused on gospel witness in Muslim communities. This role goes beyond one‑to‑one ministry and aims to spark broader, one‑to‑many impact. The person’s calling, the local context, and God’s leading will shape how the ministry looks. In some places, the focus may be planting churches focused on those who have Islam as their backstory, or it could be equipping churches, leaders, and lay believers through apologetics so they can lovingly and wisely engage their Muslim neighbors; in others instances, it may center on reaching women and children through hospitality, or using a unique insider position to gather inter‑faith groups from a shared region.
Typical Areas of Focus:
- Identify and build trusting relationships with Muslims in the local context through culturally sensitive, incarnational presence.
- Design and implement a contextualized ministry strategy (e.g., hospitality, apologetics, community outreach, small groups, leadership training) that fits your gifts and local context.
- Equip and coach local believers and churches to confidently engage Muslims with the gospel, multiplying impact beyond your own direct relationships.
- Develop simple, reproducible tools, processes, and training pathways that others can use to continue and expand the work.
- Collaborate with pastors, churches, and other ministries to align with the broader vision of healthy, missionally engaged local churches to advance Missions Door’s vision and expand specialized church‑planting efforts.
- Regularly evaluate ministry fruitfulness (e.g., stories of transformation, partnerships formed, leaders equipped, ministries launched) and adjust strategy for greater long‑term impact.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Calling: A clear, sustained burden from the Lord for Muslims and a specific vision for long‑term ministry among them in a specific context.
- Capacity: A proven track record of fruitful ministry, particularly in evangelism, discipleship, or cross‑cultural work.
- Character: A life above reproach, spiritually mature, rooted in Scripture and prayer, with strong affirmation from your pastor and references.
- Competency: A self‑starter and strategic thinker who can design, implement, and evaluate ministry initiatives with minimal hand‑holding.
- Influence: Respected within your church and among the Muslim community you serve, able to build trust and mobilize others.
- Team Heart: A desire to partner closely with Missions Door and local churches, valuing shared vision over personal platform.
