Summary:

New Ipswich Congregational Church (NICC) is seeking a new senior pastor who will be committed to leading our small but committed and active congregation as we strive to live for God through Christ and serve His kingdom as a light in our community of New Ipswich, NH and the surrounding area.

Description

  • Worship
    • Prepare and deliver biblically grounded, Spirit led sermons for weekly worship services.
    • Teach Scripture clearly, relevantly, and in a transformative way.
    • Conduct weddings, funerals, dedications and baptisms.
  • Discipleship
    • Offer spiritual guidance, counseling, and prayer support to individuals, youth and families.
    • Equip and empower lay leaders to participate in pastoral care.
    • Oversee the theological direction of the church’s teaching ministries (small groups, classes, youth groups, and discipleship pathways).
    • Encourage outreach, evangelism, and service initiatives.
    • Build relationships with local leaders, ministries, and partner organizations.
  • Leadership
    • Provide strategic leadership that aligns with the church’s mission, values, and long term goals.
    • Lead the staff and ministry leaders with clarity, humility, and collaboration.
    • Partner with the board on budgeting, stewardship, and organizational decisions.
    • Work with church boards to discern God’s direction for the church and implement ministry initiatives.
    • Represent the church in the local community with integrity and compassion.
    • Supervise church staff, fostering a healthy, unified, and productive team culture.

Qualifications

  • Personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
  • Must embrace the CCCC Statement of Faith.
  • Must manifest the characteristics of 1 Timothy 3: 1-7.
  • Exhibits maturity, responsibility, humility, leadership and strong character such as to motivate and mobilize the body to ministry.

Preferred

  • M. Div. from an accredited seminary
  • Pastoral experience (5+ years), including preaching, leadership, developing leaders, and managing ministry operations.

Compensation

  • Parsonage (3 bedroom, 1 ½ bath, LR, DR, laundry, kitchen, den, basement, wood pellet and forced hot water oil heat, electric, water) and
  • Salary to be determined.
