Corrections Chaplaincy; Prison Chaplain Job

North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections Chaplaincy Services’ mission is to provide compassionate, individualized spiritual care to all people in NCDAC custody. We employ educated and diverse chaplains who are ordained or endorsed by their faith communities to meet the religious and spiritual needs of the 18 different faith traditions currently recognized by the Department of Adult Correction. Full-time Prison Chaplain Positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral care to incarcerated people, staff, and administration.
  • Coordinate and lead religious services for diverse faith groups.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on First Amendment rights and religious accommodations.
  • Train and mentor volunteers to meet the spiritual needs of the population.
  • Collaborate with senior institution leadership to ensure compliance with religious policies.
