Middle School Principal

The Middle School Principal serves as the spiritual, academic, cultural, relational, and operational leader of PCA’s Middle School. This role is responsible for cultivating a Christ-centered and developmentally appropriate environment where students in grades 6–8 are known, discipled, challenged, supported, and prepared for Upper School.

The principal leads faculty, partners with parents, supports student growth, oversees curriculum implementation, manages student discipline and school culture, and ensures the daily operations of the Middle School run with excellence, consistency, and care. A key part of the role is helping students grow in Christian character, academic ownership, executive function, relational wisdom, digital responsibility, and joyful independence.

The principal also works closely with the Head of School, academic leadership, admissions, chaplaincy, student support, athletics, arts, and operations to advance PCA’s mission and strengthen the overall student experience. This includes supporting faculty through observation, coaching, professional development, and performance reviews; partnering with families through clear and pastoral communication; and stewarding schedules, programs, transitions, resources, and personnel.

Success in this role is measured by a healthy Christ-centered culture, academic readiness, strong faculty growth, curriculum alignment, parent trust, student support, retention, smooth 5th-to-6th and 8th-to-9th transitions, and reliable operational leadership. The ideal candidate is a mature Christian leader who understands adolescent development, leads with wisdom and humility, communicates clearly, supports faculty well, and is committed to the spiritual formation and flourishing of middle school students.
