Associate Pastor for Congregational Care

Vienna Presbyterian Church is looking for a faithful and compassionate leader to join our pastoral staff as an Associate Pastor for Congregational Care – Stated Supply.

This contract position (with the potential to develop into a called and installed position) is a full-time position dedicated to overseeing our many congregational care ministries, including Deacons, Stephen Ministry, Dementia Care, Grief Share, Mental Health, Divorce Care, among others. Each of these ministries is led by strong and capable lay leaders, overseen and equipped by this position. The Associate Pastor for Congregational Care is the primary care pastor among the pastoral team.

With an average weekly attendance nearing 900, we are looking for a seasoned and experienced leader in the area of pastoral/congregational care.

Qualifications:

• A fully devoted follower of Christ in all facets of life and ministry.
• Ordained or eligible to be ordained in the PCUSA.
• Possesses a contagious and authentic joy for the work of God at VPC and in the world.
• Affirms the mission and values of VPC and is willing to be guided by them.
• Has a shepherd’s temperament; a servant-leader heart.
• Experience providing and overseeing congregational care across a large, diverse congregation.
• Master of Divinity degree.

Position Details:

• Full-time, exempt, contract
• $115,000 annual salary, with benefits
• Hours will vary as needed for pastoral care and will include evenings and weekends.
