Director of Children & Youth Ministries
White Clay Presbyterian Church is seeking applications for the position of Director of Children & Youth Ministries. Applications should be submitted by September 15, 2026.
The compensation package for the position includes the following:
- Base compensation of $50,000 per year (negotiable upward depending on experience).
- Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance for the employee.
- Paid time off (through accrual) and holidays.

White Clay is a 300-year-old church affiliated with ECO, located in Newark, Delaware, a city of approximately 30,000 residents that is home to the University of Delaware. While proud of the its rich history, the church is always looking to the future, and that future starts with our youth.
Although the church has ongoing youth programming, it is open to reimagining those programs under the guidance of a motivated youth leader. A critical consideration will be the successful candidate’s vision for reaching out to the community surrounding the church, such as schools and the University of Delaware.
An essential element of this position is the candidate’s ability to provide programming for children across a broad age range (elementary to high school). While the church has dedicated volunteers within each age group to implement programming, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating and overseeing that programming.
All offers of employment will be contingent upon the successful candidate’s passing a stringent background check.
