Worship Director (Part-Time)
Trinity Evangelical Church — North Reading, MA
20 hours/week | $25–$35/hour, based on experience | Reports to the Lead Pastor

Trinity is a gospel-centered, non-denominational church north of Boston. For more than 200 years we have existed to help people become rooted in Jesus, grow together, and serve our community. We are looking for a Worship Director who loves Jesus, loves the church, and can gather a volunteer team to lead the congregation in theologically rich, heartfelt worship—modern songs and hymns, across generations.

This role is a good fit if you

• Have a growing relationship with Christ and can gladly affirm Trinity’s Statement of Faith
• Have led worship in a church setting and can lead vocally plus at least one instrument
• Build people, not just set lists—recruiting, scheduling, rehearsing, and shepherding volunteers
• Plan services with the Lead Pastor so the music serves the Word
• Are organized (we use Planning Center) and can work both independently and on a small staff
• Care about kids and students having a voice in worship, without owning those ministries alone

Core responsibilities (20 hrs/week)

Plan and lead the musical portion of weekly and special services
Recruit, schedule, train, and care for worship-team volunteers
Build a healthy, multigenerational volunteer culture and develop future leaders
Steward church instruments and a modest ministry budget
Attend staff meetings and collaborate with pastors and ministry leaders

What success looks like

Faithful Sunday leadership, a growing and cared-for volunteer team, alignment with Trinity’s mission, and a collaborative relationship with staff and elders.

Compensation

$25.00–$35.00 per hour for 20 hours per week, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a part-time ministry staff role.
