The Opportunity

Beacon Church is searching for an Associate Pastor: a versatile, mission-driven leader who can wear many hats and wear them well. We are looking for the Swiss army knife of our pastoral team: capable across a wide range of ministry functions, grounded in Biblical truth, and committed to
seeing people transformed by the gospel.

Our Lead Pastor leads with vision, drive, and high expectations, and this role calls for someone who thrives alongside that kind of leadership. You’re secure, collaborative, and self-motivated. You bring your own voice to the team while fully supporting the direction of the church. We’re looking for someone whose faith, perseverance, and ministry grit are deeper than their need for quick wins.

This role will be shaped and tailored to fit the right candidate’s unique gifts, experience, and calling. The right person and the right fit matter more to us than a perfect match to every line item.

Qualifications

• Personal faith, family health, and spiritual integrity consistent with 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
• Meaningful pastoral ministry experience with demonstrated team involvement.
• Agreement with Beacon Church’s statement of faith and membership covenant.
• Familiarity with New York metro culture is a strong plus—the pace, the directness, the diversity. You already get it.
• Excellent ministry and personal references.
• Seminary degree (M.Div. or equivalent) not needed for the right candidate but deep biblical knowledge and Gospel-centeredness a must.
