We are currently seeking a new English Ministry Pastor to preach weekly, shepherd our English Congregation (approx. 50 persons), and serve with the Elder Team to lead the overall church.

The qualifications for the candidate include:

  • A man who meets the New Testament qualifications for an Elder: Complete agreement with the Church Statement of Faith, the Apostles’ Creed, and our 5 Doctrinal Distinctions
  • An expository preacher
  • Seminary training (MDiv or equivalent)
  • Local Church ministry experience
  • Experience in immigrant and/or multicultural churches is preferred
  • Mandarin skills are not necessary, but would enhance the candidate’s ministry

Responsibilities include:

  • Preaching and leading Sunday services
  • Overseeing the English worship team
  • Overseeing English Life Groups (currently they meet in homes and are sermon-based)
  • Overseeing English biblical training through Sunday School
  • Providing pastoral care to the English Congregation
  • Serving on the Elder Team, which is comprised of biblically qualified leaders from both the English and the Chinese congregations.
  • Working with other staff members, including the Chinese Pastor, Youth Pastor, and the Kids Ministry Director.
  • Discipling and equipping the saints to engage in the ministries of evangelism and discipleship
